My work evolves out of experiences within many different geographies. I am so fortunate to have lived on both coasts & visited much of the landscape in between. We live in a country with remarkable geographical variation and I enjoy reading what passionate writers have to say about their familiar landscape or their “sense of place”. Many have written profound testimonies in defense of protecting these landscapes, they too cannot imagine life without wild & open spaces. I often borrow their wisdom to help validate my need to draw and paint the horizon. I am always searching for how my line can convey and open up a new vista.
